Today was Historic

I went to MSU for a QB tournament today. It was exciting. I got some buzzes but towards the end, my brain just kind of turned off. I missed a question about Grant Wood and I just sat there. The question kept going and when they said " he painted the midnight ride of Paul Revere" I thought to myself, "Grant Wood." But did I buzz in? No. I just sat there and let Anand get it on "American Gothic." I also missed an Ibsen question, of which I am ashamed to admit. I did the same thing with the Grant Wood one and I just sat there, thinking to myself "Henrik Ibsen."
Two words: FAILURE.
Well, at least it was in my mind.
But we somehow qualified for nationals which is REALLY exciting. Even Mr. Baker admitted to us afterwords that he didn't really think we could do it. Thanks for having no real confidence in us but pretending to anyway, Mr. Baker. Thanks.
I also played on the Varsity A team. It consisted of T.J., Claire, Ani V., Peter, Conni, and myself. The "B" team was Andrew, Eshwar (he went for the math questions), Stephanie, MaoMao, and Yunbo. I don't know why we switched the teams around because I was supposed to be on the "B" team. But oh well. It doesn't mean anything other than I can't play on the JV level anymore.
Overall it was fun. I still have to write an abstract for AP Euro which is kind of confusing. Hopefully I'll come up with something.

That is so awesome! (Besides you totally neglecting your two favorite things: art & Ibsen). I'm excited for you! This is monumental.

Sooo, by writing this I am admitting my complete ignorance in american art, but until I looked him up, I did't know who Grant Wood was!(now I recognize his art.) If you consider yourself a failure, goodness, there are a lot of us out here that are in some serious trouble. :) Congrats on Nationals and also on the V team.
